The Study in Religion program at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver campus) is accepting applications for a part-time sessional lecturer to teach the following course:

Course Description
Study of religion through a comparative, cross-cultural, and interdisciplinary approach to humans’ engagement with the sacred. Examines religions as complex systems that share certain fundamental common features.
This course is designated as “in person” and it must conform to UBC policies (found here: https://students.ubc.ca/enrolment/courses/course-modes-delivery)

Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. in Religious Studies or a related discipline with training in Religious Studies, and experience in teaching at the college or university level. An excellent teaching record based on relevant experience in the subject matter or related courses is required.

All positions are subject to availability of funds and will be governed by UBC’s “Agreement on Conditions of Appointment for Sessional Lecturers.” The current minimum salary is $ $9,559.11 per 3-credit course.
